# Course lessons

Each course can be made up of lessons and <mark style="color:red;">quizzes</mark>. Each lesson can include:

* Media (video, audio)
* Written content
* Downloadable files

### <mark style="background-color:$primary;">Create a lesson</mark>

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Click **Add content** next to the module you want the lesson to belong to
* Choose **Lesson**
* Enter a **title**
* Click **Add**

### Edit a lesson

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Open the lesson you want to edit
* Update any of the following sections:
  * **Lesson Details**
  * **Media**
  * **Downloads**
  * **Status**
  * **Lesson Thumbnail**
  * **Comments**
* Click **Save**

### Lesson details

#### Title

* Edit the lesson **title** displayed to your customers.

#### Select module

* Choose which **module** this lesson belongs to.

#### Content

**To the left of the media section**, you’ll find the text editor where you can:

* Add written content
* Insert screenshots or images for your lesson

#### Downloads

You can add files that customers can download, such as:

* Worksheets
* Templates
* Lesson notes

These files appear in the **Downloads** section of the lesson.

#### Add a file

To add a downloadable file:

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Open a lesson
* In the **Downloads** section, click **Add Files**
* Upload your file

#### Rename a file

To rename a file:

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Open a lesson
* In the **Downloads** section, click the **pencil icon**
* Edit the display name
* Click **Save**

#### Download a file

To download a file:

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Open a lesson
* In the **Downloads** section, click the **download icon**

#### Delete a file

To delete a file:

* Go to **Products > Courses** and select your course
* Open a lesson
* In the **Downloads** section, click the **X icon**
* Click **Delete**

#### Media

You can optionally include media in your lesson, such as:

* Video
* Audio

If you don’t want to include any media, select **None**.

### Set the status for a lesson

To change the status of a **lesson**:

* Go to **Products > Courses**
* Select your course
* In the **course outline**, click the **status dropdown** next to the lesson
* Select **Draft (**&#x48;idden from customers) or **Published (**&#x56;isible to customers)

### <mark style="background-color:$primary;">Import a lesson</mark> <a href="#h_01k2q4j7my31bhg2qqff5gp1m5" id="h_01k2q4j7my31bhg2qqff5gp1m5"></a>

* Go to **Products > Courses** and click on your course.
* Click Add content next to the module you'd like this to be in.
* Choose Import from another course.
* Choose the course, module, and lesson.
  * You can also import a lesson from the same course.
* Click **Import**.
