# Courses Product Overview

A **Course** allows you to teach your customers using visual and written content.

Each Course is made up of [lessons](/hifunnel-help-center/documentation/products/courses/course-lessons.md) and <mark style="color:red;">**quizzes**</mark>. A lesson can include:

* Media (video, audio)
* Written content
* Downloadable files

Lessons and quizzes are organized inside [modules](/hifunnel-help-center/documentation/products/courses/course-modules.md). Think of these as category that help you structure and manage your course content.

### Create a course

To create a **Course**, follow these steps:

#### Step 1: Go to Courses

Navigate to **Products > Courses**.

Click **Get Started** or **New course**.

#### Step 2: Enter course details

Enter a **title** and a **brief description** for your course (up to 700 characters), then click **Next**.

Hifunnel will automatically:

* Generate modules and lessons for your course
* Create a landing page, form and email broadcast to help promote your course

You can customize all of this content later.

#### Step 3: Customize appearance

Choose a **primary color**, **accent color**, and **thumbnail image** for your course.

Click **Next**.

#### Step 4: Create an offer

To sell your course, you’ll need to create an **offer**.

Choose **Free** or **Paid** offer. You can change this later from **Sales >** [**Offers**](/hifunnel-help-center/documentation/sales/offers.md)**.**

If you select a **Paid** offer:

* Enter pricing details
* Select a **payment method**

Click **Finish**\
After creating your course, you'll be brought to the outline.

#### Step 5: Start building your course

After creating your course, you’ll be taken to the **course outline**, where you can start adding modules, lessons, and quizzes.

* Go to Products > Courses.
* Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to edit.
* Click Edit details.
  * You can edit your course title, description, and thumbnail image.

### Preview a course <a href="#h_01k2kfgw78vk9jakx9vcb1gedd" id="h_01k2kfgw78vk9jakx9vcb1gedd"></a>

* Go to Products > Courses.
* Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to preview.
* Click **Preview**.

### Duplicate a course

To duplicate a **Course**:

* Go to **Products > Courses**
* Click the **(...)** menu next to the course you want to duplicate
* If you have multiple sites, choose the site to add the course to
* Click **Duplicate**

**Note**

* If you’re unable to duplicate a course, you may have reached your product limit. You can <mark style="color:red;">view your plan usage, upgrade to a new plan, or increase your product limit.</mark>
* Duplicating a course copies **content only**. Customers are not added to the duplicated course.
* Assessments attached to a course are not duplicated

### Delete a course

To delete a **Course**:

* Go to **Products > Courses**
* Click the **(...)** menu next to the course you want to delete
* Click **Delete**
* In the confirmation popup, click **Confirm**

**Note**

* If your Course is attached to a **recurring payment** offer (payment plan or recurring subscription), your customers will continue to be charged.
* Before deleting the Course, make sure to update or deactivate the offer, or remove the offer from your customers’ profiles to fully stop charges.
