# How to Upload Media to Your Course Lesson

Craft your Course Lesson with Video or Audio to deliver your content to your customers.

### What media can I add to my Course Lesson?

You can add **one media type** to each Course Lesson by choosing one of the following:

* [**Video**](#video)
* [**Audio**](#audio)

If you want to create a lesson without media and focus only on written content, select **None**. Additionally, you can attach files for your students to download in the [**Downloads**](#downloads) section.

### <mark style="background-color:$primary;">Video</mark>

When you upload a video (whether from **Google Drive** or your local device), the video will be automatically encoded and optimized for delivery across different devices and internet speeds.

**Video encoding** is the process of compressing and formatting videos for playback. There may be a short delay before a newly uploaded video is available at the highest quality.

You can upload videos to your Course Lesson using:

#### My Device

* Open the Products tab from your Dashboard.
* Then, select the Product you wish to edit.
* Within the Product Outline, click the title of the Lesson you want to add a video to.
* In the media selection at the top of the Lesson Editor, click Video.
* Then, click Select Video in the dropdown menu.
* Select your video file by dragging and dropping or clicking Choose File:
* A direct **link (URL)**

* Open the Products tab from your Dashboard.
* Then, select the Product you wish to edit.
* Within the Product Outline, click the title of the Lesson you want to add a video to.
* In the media selection at the top of the Lesson Editor, click Video.
* Then, click Link in the File Uploader.
* Copy and paste your video file URL in the field to upload the video file directly through the URL:

### <mark style="background-color:$primary;">Audio</mark>

Upload an audio file to your Course Lesson to support your auditory learners. Select **Audio** as your Course Lesson media type to use a native audio player instead of a video player.

With the native audio player, you can upload your audio file directly - no workarounds or custom coding required.

#### What will my customers see?

When an audio file is selected as the media type for a Course Lesson, your customers will see an **audio player** instead of a video player.<br>

### Attaching Downloadable Files (Downloads) <a href="#downloads" id="downloads"></a>

In addition to the primary Media (Video/Audio), you can provide valuable resources for your students to download (such as worksheets, templates, presentation slides, or supplementary reading materials). Attaching resources enhances the learning experience and helps students practice more effectively.

#### Supported File Formats:

To ensure security and compatibility, Hifunnel allows you to upload the following file formats:

* **Documents:** `.pdf`, `.doc`, `.docx`, `.xls`, `.xlsx`, `.ppt`, `.pptx`, `.txt`, `.csv`, `.rtf`
* **Archives:** `.zip`, `.rar`, `.7z`
* **Images/Design:** `.jpg`, `.jpeg`, `.png`, `.svg`, `.psd`, `.ai`, `.eps`
* **Audio:** `.mp3`, `.wav`
* **E-books:** `.epub`, `.mobi`

**Pro Tip:** We recommend compressing large files or multiple related files into a single `.zip` archive so students can easily download everything with one click.
