# How to Add an Expiration Date to Your Offer

Control how long an Offer is available for purchase or access by setting an expiration date on Hifunnel.

Adding an **expiration date** to an Offer gives you complete control over how long your Offer remains available for purchase or enrollment. This is ideal for limited-time promotions, cohort launches, or seasonal deals.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why use expiration dates?** Setting a deadline creates scarcity and urgency, encouraging potential customers to complete their purchase before the deal closes.

#### Step 7: Configure Expiration Action

Choose what happens when visitors attempt to view or buy the Offer after the expiration date:

* **Expired Page**: Directs visitors to Hifunnel's default expiration page displaying your customized expiration message.
* **Landing Page**: Redirects visitors to a custom Landing Page (such as a waitlist page or a regular pricing page).
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Step 8: Save Changes

Click **Save** in the top right corner to apply your changes.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Combining Quantity & Time Limits:** Quantity limits and expiration dates can be used together. If both options are enabled, your Offer will automatically close as soon as **either** limit is reached first (e.g., reaching 50 sales OR passing December 31st).

If you choose to redirect to a **Landing Page**, make sure you have created and published the page beforehand.
