# What Happens When a Customer Purchases My Offer?

Gain a better understanding of your customer experience when new customers purchase your Offer.

### Step 1. Checkout Page

The first step in the checkout flow is the **Checkout Page**. This page collects the customer’s payment information to complete the purchase of an Offer.

Before entering payment details, new customers may be required to **sign up using their email address**.

This helps ensure the customer is not already registered on your site and allows Hifunnel to create a new **customer profile** using their email.

After submitting their email address, the customer will complete the required fields and select their preferred **payment method** to finish the checkout process.

### Step 2. Create account or log in <a href="#h_01eq1za3x2xxc2xkascyqgv24a" id="h_01eq1za3x2xxc2xkascyqgv24a"></a>

After completing a purchase, customers may be prompted to enter their **name** and create a **password**.

Account creation behavior depends on your **Offer settings**:

* If **Require new customers to create a password at checkout** is enabled, new customers will create their password directly on the **Checkout Page**, and the **Account Creation Page** will be skipped automatically.
* If password creation is not required at checkout, customers will be redirected to the **Account Creation Page** after purchase to set their password and complete account setup. Returning customers will be redirected to the **Login Page**.

### Step 3. Library page

After customers complete **Step 2** and create their account, they are directed to the **Library Page**, where they can access all Products included in the purchased Offer.

Optionally, you can redirect customers to a custom **Thank You Page** instead of the Library Page.

### Step 5. Logging in and accessing products

Once the purchase is complete and the customer account is created, customers can return to your site to **log in** and access their purchased content at any time.<br>
