# Disconnect a Custom Domain

Learn how to disconnect and remove a connected custom domain from your Hifunnel site.

## Overview

If you need to remove your custom domain from Hifunnel (for example, if you are rebranding, switching to a new domain name, or testing), you can disconnect it directly from your Domain settings.

When you disconnect a custom domain, your website will automatically revert to using your default Hifunnel subdomain (e.g., `yourbrand.hifunnel.vn`). This ensures that your site and existing content remain accessible online.

## Disconnect the custom domain

**Important:** Once disconnected, visitors trying to reach your site via your custom domain will no longer be directed to your Hifunnel website. Make sure to update any external links or DNS settings accordingly.

To disconnect a custom domain from your Hifunnel site:

#### Step 1: Access Domain Settings

Open the **Settings** tab from your Hifunnel Dashboard, then click **Domain**.

#### Step 2: Locate Connected Domain

Find your connected custom domain listed under the Domain settings section.

#### Step 3: Open Domain Options

Click the three dots `...` (or options menu) next to the domain name you wish to remove.

#### Step 4: Remove Domain

Click **Remove** (or **Disconnect**), and confirm your action when prompted.

## What happens after disconnecting?

* **Default Subdomain Access:** Your Hifunnel default subdomain (e.g., `yourbrand.hifunnel.vn`) will remain fully active and accessible to your visitors.
* **Custom Domain Traffic:** Any traffic directed to your old custom domain will no longer load your Hifunnel site until you re-connect it or configure web forwarding with your domain registrar.
* **Re-connecting:** You can reconnect the same custom domain or a new custom domain at any time by following our guide on [setting up a custom domain](/hifunnel-help-center/documentation/website/domains/set-up-a-custom-domain.md).
