# How to Create a Subdomain for a Hifunnel Site

Learn how to set up a subdomain (e.g. learn.yoursite.com) pointing to your Hifunnel site using a CNAME DNS record.

## Overview

A **subdomain** is an extension of your primary website domain that sits in front of your domain name, like **learn**.yoursite.com or **courses**.yoursite.com. It allows you to host your Hifunnel portal (online courses, memberships, and digital products) under your main brand identity while leaving your main website (`yoursite.com`) on your existing website builder (such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify).

Creating a subdomain for your Hifunnel site requires creating a **CNAME record** in your domain registrar's DNS settings that points to Hifunnel's server (`ssl.hifunnel.vn`).

## Create and connect your subdomain

Follow these steps to connect a subdomain to your Hifunnel site:

Navigate to **Settings** from your Hifunnel Dashboard and click **Domain**.

Click **Set up custom domain**.

Enter your root domain (e.g., `yoursite.com`) into the **Domain name** text box. Then enter your chosen subdomain prefix (e.g., `learn`, `courses`, or `academy`) into the **Subdomain name** text box.

Review the domain preview displayed on screen (e.g., `learn.yoursite.com`), then click **Next**.

Open a new browser tab and log into your domain registrar account (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Mat Bao). Access your **DNS Management / DNS Records** page and add a new CNAME record with the following values:

* **Type:** `CNAME`
* **Name / Host:** Your subdomain prefix (e.g., `learn` or `courses`)
* **Target / Value:** `ssl.hifunnel.vn`
* **TTL:** Auto or `3600` Save the DNS record.
