# Set up a custom domain

Create a subdomain and connect a custom email domain to your Hifunnel site.

### Default Hifunnel Domain

One of the first steps when getting started with Hifunnel is setting up your **default subdomain**.

This subdomain becomes the primary address for your Hifunnel website before (or alongside) connecting a custom domain.

**Example:**\
If your brand name is **Hifunnel Academy**, your default site address could be:\
`hifunnelacademy.hifunnel.vn`

#### Subdomain rules

* Each Hifunnel subdomain must be **unique**
* Two Hifunnel sites **cannot share the same subdomain**
* Once saved, your subdomain becomes immediately active

#### Change your default subdomain

You can update your Hifunnel subdomain at any time.

1. Open **Settings** from your Dashboard
2. Select **Domain**
3. Edit the value in **Default Subdomain**
4. Click **Save** to apply changes

### Using a custom domain with Hifunnel

Hifunnel allows your website to be accessed through **both**:

* Your Hifunnel subdomain
* Your connected custom domain

You can connect a custom domain **before or after** your site goes live.

**Example**

* Initial site URL:\
  `academy.hifunnel.vn`
* Connected custom domain:\
  `academy.hifunnel.com`

After connecting, visitors can access your site using **either** URL.\
Both domains point to the same Hifunnel website.

#### What to know before connecting a custom domain

* Your Hifunnel subdomain always remains active
* Connecting a custom domain does **not** remove or replace your Hifunnel subdomain
* You can update or disconnect a custom domain at any time

#### Connect a Custom Domain

Connecting a custom domain helps reinforce your brand identity, build trust with visitors, and give your Hifunnel website a more professional look.

Instead of using a default Hifunnel subdomain, you can connect your own domain so your site truly feels like **your brand**, not a generic platform URL.

Your Hifunnel site will remain accessible via its default subdomain, while your custom domain points to the same website.

### How to connect your custom domain

To connect a custom domain to your Hifunnel site:

1. Open **Settings** from your Dashboard
2. Click **Domain**
3. Select **Set up custom domain**
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup

Once connected, your custom domain will link directly to your Hifunnel website.

#### To connect your custom domain: <a href="#h_01hd6whwb51vb13bmn4ja06skq" id="h_01hd6whwb51vb13bmn4ja06skq"></a>

* Select Connect Custom Domain to Hifunnel from the **How should we connect your domain?** block in the Domain Setup settings.
* **Input your domain name** into the **Domain Name** textbox (example: hifunne&#x6C;*.vn*).
* This will take you to a page that will show your existing Nameservers in your registrar and two unique Nameservers that Hifunnel has created for you:

Once your domain is connected, you will have the option to send your Marketing emails from your custom domain.

You must have a paid Hifunnel account in order to set up a custom email domain. If you are on a free trial, you will not have access to this feature.

**To set up your Custom Email Domain:**

* Click **Setup Custom Email Domain.**
* Then, input a **From name**, create a **From email**, and you will also have the option to input a **Reply to email** address.
* Click **Save**. Your marketing emails will now be sent from a custom email domain:
