# How to Connect Your Landing Pages to Your Website

### Website pages vs. landing pages <a href="#h_01eqvnp28sr3darna83x6znf56" id="h_01eqvnp28sr3darna83x6znf56"></a>

Website Pages are the standard site pages Hifunnel creates and connects for you to form the foundation of your website.

Standard Website Pages include pages like your:

* <mark style="color:red;">Homepage</mark>
* <mark style="color:red;">Library Page</mark>
* <mark style="color:red;">Login Page</mark>

But in many cases, you’ll want more than the essentials to support how your business runs.

That’s where standalone pages (i.e., Landing Pages) come in. Landing Pages are independent pages you can connect to your standard Website Pages, or use on their own.

Your standalone Landing Pages can be used to:

* Encourage opt-ins to grow your list. Learn about Forms on Hifunne.

* Create Sales Pages for your digital products.

### Creating navigation menus <a href="#h_01eqvnp8vzkrjr6fn7hdxj0ncb" id="h_01eqvnp8vzkrjr6fn7hdxj0ncb"></a>

Navigation menus are sets of links that help visitors move between pages.

Navigation menus typically appear in a page header or footer.

In Hifunnel, you can use navigation menus (also called <mark style="color:red;">link lists</mark>]) in headers, footers, and other sections across your pages.

To connect your Landing Pages to your website, add your Landing Page links to the navigation menu(s) used on your Website Pages.

#### How to add your Landing Page to a navigation menu: <a href="#h_e12630e902" id="h_e12630e902"></a>

* From your Dashboard, select the Website tab.
* Then, select the Navigation tab.
* Locate the navigation menu you want to update.
* Click + Add and select Add Page.
* Enter your link Name (this is the label visitors will see in the menu).
* Select your Landing Page from the “Linked object composite” dropdown menu.
* (Optional) Select Visible to logged in users only if you want the link to appear only for logged in customers.
* Click Save to keep and apply your changes.
* Preview a Website Page that uses this navigation menu to confirm everything looks right.

Link types:

* Product - Add a navigation link to a Course Module or Lesson.
* Page - Link to any Website Page or Landing Page in Hifunnel.
* Link - Link to any external URL.

Don’t want to add your Landing Page to a navigation menu?

You can connect pages using a Call to Action button instead.

Landing Pages can be used for sales pages, opt-in pages, campaign pages, and more. Then, add a Call to Action button on a Website Page (like your homepage) to direct visitors to that Landing Page.

#### **What is a Call to Action?**

A Call to Action is designed to prompt an immediate next step, such as subscribing or purchasing.

Hifunnel includes a Call to Action button with different Button Action options, such as:

* Go to a Landing Page
* Go to a Checkout Page
* Download a file
* Go to a URL
* Open a Two Step Opt-in Popup
* Scroll to a section of the page

#### How to add a Call to Action button to your page:

* Open the Website tab from the Dashboard.
* Open the page editor for your Website Page. <mark style="color:red;">Learn more</mark>
* Click the Section you want to edit or <mark style="color:red;">create a new Section</mark>.
* In the sidebar, click Add Content.
* Select Call to Action.\
  Your Call to Action will appear at the bottom of the Section.
* For Button Action, select Go to a Landing Page.
* Choose your Landing Page from the dropdown menu.
