# How to Create a Telephone Link

Learn how to create a click-to-call telephone link (tel:) on CTA buttons, text, and icons in Hifunnel.

A **telephone link** (click-to-call link) enables mobile and desktop visitors to initiate a phone call directly with a single click. When clicked, it automatically opens the default phone app (such as FaceTime, Skype, or native phone dialer) pre-populated with your phone number.

In Hifunnel, you can attach telephone links to Call to Action (CTA) buttons, text widgets, floating icons, or header contact links.

## Telephone Link Syntax

To create a telephone link, use the `tel:` prefix followed by your phone number in international format (without spaces or hyphens):

* **Syntax**: `tel:+[country code][phone number]`
* **Example (Vietnam)**: `tel:+84901234567`
* **Example (US)**: `tel:+18005550199`

**Best Practice for Phone Formatting:** Always include the international country code (e.g., `+84` for Vietnam or `+1` for US/Canada) so international or mobile visitors can dial seamless calls regardless of their location.

## How to Add a Telephone Link to a CTA Button

#### Step 1: Select Button Widget

In the Page Builder canvas, click the **Button / CTA Widget** you want to configure as a click-to-call button (e.g., "Call Us Now").

In the left sidebar settings panel, locate **Button Action** (or Link Destination).

#### Step 3: Select "Go to a URL"

In the action dropdown, select **Go to a URL**.

#### Step 4: Enter Telephone Link

In the URL text field, enter your telephone link string (e.g., `tel:+84901234567`).

Click **Save** in the top toolbar to apply your click-to-call link.

Inside any Text Widget, highlight the phone number string (e.g., "Hotline: 0901 234 567").

Click the **Insert/Edit Link** (`🔗`) icon on the text editor toolbar.
