# How to Publish and Draft Your Page

Creating a new page will automatically publish the page. Learn to set your Page Visibility Settings to Published or Draft.

### Default Visibility for a New Page

When you create a new page, its visibility is automatically set to **Draft**.

This allows you to safely customize and prepare your page before making it accessible to visitors. When you’re ready, update the Page Visibility to **Published**.

***

### Important Notes About Draft Pages

* A page in **Draft** mode is **not accessible** to visitors.
* If someone attempts to access a Draft page, they will be redirected to your **Standard Website 404 Page**.
* To ensure a consistent user experience, make sure your **404 Page** is customized to match your branding and language.

You can customize the 404 Page from the **Design** section in the **Website** tab.
